SHUTTLES
Epic Cycle Adventures has been providing shuttles on the Timber Trail for over 13 years.
We ride the Trail often and love being able to get others out riding. Our priority is that you and your bikes make it to the start of the Timber Trail safely and well informed so you can focus on having a great trip!
TIMBER TRAIL SHUTTLE OPTIONS
Ongarue to Piropiro Shuttle - 8.30am. Approx. 50 minutes drive
A one day trip option good for those short on time or for beginner riders nervous about riding the full Trail

Meet us at Epic's base in Ongarue for a 8.30am shuttle. We drop you and your bike at Piropiro.

You then cycle the southern half of the Timber Trail from Piropiro over the day back to your car at our base in Ongarue.

See highlights of the Timber Trail such as the Maramataha Suspension Bridge and the Ongarue Railway Spiral.
Ongarue to Pureora Shuttle Options. Approx. 1 hour drive
Option 1 - Depart Ongarue 8.30am
The best way of doing it for riding the full 82km Timber Trail

Meet us in Ongarue for a 8.30am shuttle. We drop you and your bike off at Pureora

If you have luggage, this is transferred from Ongarue to your accommodation at Piropiro and then returned back to Ongarue the next day

Whether you are taking a leisurely 2 day ride, smashing the full trail out in 1 day, or hiking over 3/4 days. You finish your trip back at our base in Ongarue where you parked your car.

This means there is no deadline to make it back to Ongarue to catch a shuttle after your trip, there is no waiting for other groups to finish, and there is no long shuttle back to your vehicle after your ride.
Option 2 - Afternoon shuttle from Ongarue 3pm - Minimum 6 passengers
If you are driving from the Tauranga/Rotorua direction this may be a better option.

You drive directly to Pureora and start your ride- this means that you can generally start when you prefer

Ride the Trail either over a leisurely 2 days or smash it out in 1 day

At the end of your ride we meet you in Ongarue and shuttle you and your bikes back to Pureora

Note that we do not regularly do luggage transfers from Pureora to Piropiro. If you require luggage transfers from Pureora to Piropiro this is only by negotiation.
ALL SHUTTLES ARE A MINIMUM OF 2 PEOPLE UNLESS THERE ARE OTHER BOOKINGS ON THAT DAY. SINGLE BOOKINGS ON DAYS WHEN THERE ARE NO OTHER BOOKINGS ARE BY NEGOTIATION AND WILL INCUR A SINGLE PERSON SURCHARGE.
